I like podcasts, but there are only a few that I listen to because most consists of people just babbling. This podcast is a rarity in that the production values are good and Mark and Jason are very knowledgeable about metal have some really interesting things to say about it.

I’ve been wanting to see Rob Halford in action and I’ve liked Devildriver and Goatwhore when they played here recently. So I’ll be able to see some good bands and leave before [...]

I’m Raven 30 year old metal maiden born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Started young with bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Sepultura etc…(thanks to two older brothers). Through the years I strayed to other genres but never fell out of love with metal. Somewhere in my mid 20’s metal sucked me in completely. Started with more common mainstreamy stuff but soon found myself consumed in the more obscure underground extreme sound. Depending on my mood and what form of release I need (usually pissed off and angry )I’ll vary between traditional metal to gothic/symphonic metal to epic metal to thrash, death, and black metal. One moment it may be Lacuna Coil and the next its Behemoth. I don’t care for the what really is metal arguments. If it has a heaviness and real power to the listener who enjoys it than its metal \m/

First post! Our goal is to inform people about metal concerts and related things here in SW PA along with the occasional pictures of cats.

I’m Emilia and a longtime metalhead (my 25th high school reunion is this year), but I had a born again metal moment back in 2006 after a very stressful week. I was walking to the bus-stop in a foul mood with my mp3 running when Slayer started to play (Payback from God hates us All) and my mood lifted. After listening to that another 4-5 times I was finally able to put that week behind me. The strange thing is that I didn’t remember putting slayer on my player.
